Kira Smyth

About:

• Kira is a Junior Valuation Analyst at XPS Group.  Kira supports senior staff with the completion of business valuation client engagements, where she provides market and industry research, company analysis, financial modelling & analysis, and business valuations.

Experience:

• Prior to joining XPS Group, Kira held successive positions with a Canadian high-net-worth wealth management firm, a large Canadian institutional pension fund manager, and a large Canadian multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm.  In these positions, her experience spanned the areas of corporate finance and accounting, investment accounting and valuations, and investor and client relations.

Education & Professional Licenses:

• Kira holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Entrepreneurship from the Peter B. Gustavson School of Business at the University of Victoria.  In 2023, Kira successfully completed the Canadian Securities Course at the CSI Institute.  Kira is presently enrolled in the Chartered Financial Analyst program at the CFA Institute.

Interests & Hobbies:

• In her spare time, Kira continues to enjoy her life-long passion for competitive and recreational dance in the genres of ballet, pointe, jazz, contemporary, and lyrical.  Kira is an enthusiast for all-things nature, so if you don’t find her on a trail, or somewhere out on the Salish Sea, you may find her at an airport or some remote destination – as she’s always down for a new travel adventure!
